Avdhoot Sant Alakhram ji is the ultimate disciple of Param Pujya Aghoreshwar Bhagwan Ram. He is the most gracious disciple of Aghoreshwar Mahaprabhu — since childhood he served Gurudev, taking initiation from him, and spent his whole life walking on the path shown by him, serving the poor, deprived, afflicted, downtrodden and helpless people and working for their upliftment. He has established Vishwa Aghor Dharm Parishad Trust and Avdhoot Bhagwan Ram Seva Ashram in village-Sateli (Bhedshi), district-Deudamarg of Sindhudurg, in the Konkan region of Maharashtra; and village-Apauna, post-Banipara, district-Rasulabad of Kanpur rural area in Uttar Pradesh. Along with this, he also established Avdhoot Bhagwan Ram Seva Ashram at Pelhar, Nalasopara in Palghar district of Maharashtra. These three ashrams established by him are today determined and dedicated with full devotion towards the service and welfare of the people.
He was born in a village named Kalyanpur under Uttar Pradesh, Kanpur. His father, late Mr. Raj Bahadur Singh ji, and mother, late Mrs. Shanti Devi ji, were exclusive devotees of Aghoreshwar Mahaprabhu. Despite tireless efforts of his parents, he could get school education only up to the fifth standard, because his mind was not engaged in worldly materialistic things. Right from his childhood, he used to have a sense of kindness and immense affection towards the downtrodden, leaving no opportunity to serve the poor, helpless and suffering people. By the grace of Aghoreshwar Mahaprabhu, he remained engrossed in meditation in the valleys of the Himalayas for some time, after which he dedicated his life to the service of Aghoreshwar Bhagwan Ram.
After reaching Avdhoot Bhagwan Ram Kushtha Seva Ashram located at Padav, Varanasi, he started serving Gurudev in his personal care as a devotee of respected Gurudev Aghoreshwar Bhagwan Ram Ji. Following the path shown by Aghoreshwar Mahaprabhu, at Avdhoot Bhagwan Ram Kushtha Seva Ashram he started serving the poor and the afflicted with leprosy with full devotion and readiness. Looking at his sense of service, spiritual consciousness and supernatural brilliance, one day Aghoreshwar Mahaprabhu made him his blessed Mudiya Sadhu and, while announcing in the general assembly, named him Sant Alakhram Ji. After this, he became a complete monk while walking on the path of renunciation and got engrossed in the difficult practice of the path of Aghor.
After getting permission from Aghoreshwar Mahaprabhu, he went to Narayanpur Aghor Ashram in Madhya Pradesh (now in Chhattisgarh) state. There he rejuvenated the entire ashram by discharging his responsibilities in the highest possible way — making the vacant, barren land of the ashram suitable for agriculture by planting trees on it, and presenting an excellent example of talent and ability in the ashram's other spiritual, social and public service works. Pleased with his hard work, readiness and spiritual skill, Aghoreshwar Mahaprabhu entrusted him with the responsibility of Publicity Minister of the Sarveshwari Group Organization. Discharging this responsibility, he went on a tour of the whole of India, taking Aghoreshwar Mahaprabhu's mission of service to humanity to the masses while visiting the states of India — including the naxal-affected areas of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, as well as Nepal — bringing an unprecedented change in people's lives and bringing them into the mainstream of society. He also started a tree-plantation campaign, planting crores of trees all over the country for the benefit of coming generations.
Through his padyatras, he communicated the feeling of goodwill, mutual love, brotherhood, patriotism and service to humanity among people all over India, making his best contribution towards converting Aghoreshwar Mahaprabhu's mission of public service and welfare into public sentiment.
On November 29, 1992, his Gurudev, Aghoreshwar Bhagwan Ram, left his mortal body and became deified. Gurudev physically disappeared from his eyes, but remained spiritually present in his inner self, guiding him every moment and inspiring him to recognize the true potential hidden within him and dedicate it to the service of humanity. Taking Gurudev's inspiration as his guide, he set out on the path of public service and public welfare.
On October 19, 1994, he started the Bharat Sadbhavna Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, during which 9 of his disciples dedicated themselves to him. During this journey he went among the poor, suffering and most backward people, understood their pain, and gave the right direction to their lives. Reaching Srinagar on August 21, 1996, he concluded the Bharat Sadbhavana Yatra in the presence of the Governor and District Magistrate.
After completing Bharat Sadbhavana Yatra, he established Vishwa Aghor Dharma Parishad Nyas to spread the humanitarian thoughts of his Gurudev Aghoreshwar Bhagwan Ram Ji to the masses, and under it established Avdhoot Bhagwan Ram Seva Ashram in Satelli (Bhedshi) village, Sindhudurg district, Konkan, Maharashtra. In 1997, taking forward the mission of public service, he started the historic Sadbhavna Yatra from Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra to Tripura. This journey later reached Gujarat, passing through 25 districts, and when it reached Ahmedabad in 1999 the Kargil war between India and Pakistan began — in honor of patriotism and nationalism, he postponed the Sadbhavna Yatra and returned to the Sindhudurg-based Ashram to continue his mission of public welfare.
Taking forward the mission of public service and public welfare, two further Avdhoot Bhagwan Ram Seva Ashrams have been established under the Vishwa Aghor Dharma Parishad Nyas Trust — in Apauna village of the Kalyanpur area of Kanpur district, Uttar Pradesh, and at Nalasopara, Vasai taluka, Pelhar, Palghar district, Maharashtra — each carrying forward his mission of humanity with full devotion, readiness and determination.
In times of emergency, disaster and natural calamity, he has served humanity with full capacity, readiness and human sensitivity — providing relief material, medicines and clothes and contributing to rehabilitation for those affected by the earthquake in Kutch, Gujarat, and for Kosi flood victims in Bihar. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he served people with relief material and medicines for more than a year. In these and many other ways, furthering the mission of his respected Gurudev Aghoreshwar Bhagwan Ram ji, he continues to prepare many current generations of devotees who follow the path he has shown, and remains engaged in public service and public welfare works with full devotion and readiness.
