Aghoreshwar Dharmarth Chikitsalaya
Free medical care for the poor, helpless and deprived, run by the Ashram since its founding.
Sant Alakhram ji Maharaj established Aghoreshwar Dharmarth Chikitsalaya at Avdhoot Bhagwan Ram Seva Ashram to solve the health problems of poor, helpless and deprived people. This hospital provides free natural (homeopathy) medicines to those in need. Over the last 10 years, this hospital has provided health care to more than seventeen thousand people, with free medicines provided to 100–150 people daily at the ashram.
Every day, people from Nalasopara and surrounding areas — Vasai, Virar, Naigaon — as well as other parts of the country, register before 9 AM and are allotted a serial number. That serial number holds the complete medical history of the patient, including full details of medicine provided from their first visit to their present condition. This allows the doctor complete visibility into the patient's health history when determining new treatment. This hospital continues to expand its capacity while moving forward on the path of health care.
Free Medical Camps
From time to time, free medical camps are organized at the ashram for health check-ups of poor and underprivileged people, in partnership with various human service organizations. These camps offer eye treatment, dental treatment, and complete physical examinations; in emergency or serious conditions, patients are guided and assisted toward treatment at the municipal hospital of Vasai-Virar city or the larger government hospitals of Mumbai. Along with the regular devotees of the ashram, people from the surrounding areas continue to benefit from time to time. This effort towards the health service of humanity continues to move forward towards its goal of public welfare.
